U17 National Team, coached by Hakan Tecimer, was defeated 4-2 by Israel in their second match of 2013 UEFA U17 European Championship First Qualifying Round Group 12 which is held in Croatia. The match was played in Pricvicu Stadium, Split, Croatia and Turkey's goals came from M. Batuhan Altintas (Min. 25 and 62) while, Amit Mizrachi (Min 61), Shon Zalman (Min. 47 and 59) and Ori Or Eiloz (Min. 65) hit the target for Israel. Besides, Eran Hannia Biton from Israel was sent-off on 70th minute.

In the day's other match of the group, the hosts, Croatia beat Kazakhstan 2-0.

U17 National Team will face Croatia in their last match of the group on 19 October 2012 Friday at 16.30 with Turkish local time.

52 teams are drawn into 13 groups of four teams in Qualfying Round and The top two in each group along with the two third-placed teams with the best record against the leading pair will progress to the elite round which will be played in March 2013. In Elite Round, 28 teams are drawn into 7 groups of four teams and the seven group winners in that round will progress to the finals with the joining hosts Slovakia in the final tournament that May, which will also act as a qualifier for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, to be staged later that year in the United Arab Emirates.
