U21s lose to Poland: 3-1

U21 National Team squad, coached by Abdullah Ercan, was defeated by Poland 3-1 in their first match of 2015 UEFA U21 European Championship Qualifying Group 7.

The match was played in Legia Warsaw Stadium, Warsaw, Poland and Turkey's only goal came from Bertün Kocabaş (Min. 55) while, Poland grabbed the win by Pawlowski's (Min. 8) and Milik's (Min. 24 and 31) goals.

U21s will face Malta in their second match of the Qualifying Group on 6 September 2013 Friday.

In qualifying round; 52 teams are drawn into 8 groups of five teams and 2 groups of six teams which is total 10 groups. The ten group winners and four best-placed group runners-up will qualify to Play-Offs.

14 teams in the Play-Offs will match each other with 7 match-ups. After the Play-Offs 7 match-up winners will progress to the finals on June 2015 by joining hosts Czech Republic.
