U19 National Team, coached by Mehmet Hacıoğlu, beat Faroe Islands 2-0 in their second match of 2013/2014 UEFA U19 European Championship Qualifying Group 12.

The match was played in Mladost Stadium, Strumica, FYROM and Turkey grabbed the win by Egemen Zengin's (Min. 42) and Muhammed Demirci's (Min. 48) goals.

In the day's other match of the group, FYROM beat Montenegro 2-1.

U19s will face Montenegro on 11 September 2013 Wednesday at 17.00 with Turkish local time in their third and last match of the group.

The qualifying round is made up of 13 groups of four teams playing in one-venue mini-tournaments. The top two from each progress alongside the third-placed team with the best record against the top pair in their group. In the elite round, played in the spring, those 27 qualifiers join the top seed, given a bye, in seven mini-tournament groups of four. The 7group winners then join the hosts Hungary in the finals.
