40 Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex is the first stadium in Turkey that met the UEFA Euro 2016 requirements at the time of our bid to host the European championship. In 2011, Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex was one of the six nominees for the Venue of the Year and New Venue categories of the Stadium Business Award. The contemporary stadiums in Turkey not only provide large group of fans with maximum enjoyment of football, but also add social and economic value to the districts where they are located. With a capacity of 53,611, Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex is also known for the largest VIP area in Turkey. Football fans in wheelchairs are able to access the stadium easily along with their attendants. Although it is a relatively new construction in a district full of residences, office blocks and many other construction projects, it is acclaimed as an iconic work representing the modern outlook of the city.
