A night of joy and excitement in Ali Sami Yen Stadium ended with the 1-0 victory of Turkey against a tough Bosnia&Herzegovina side to qualify Turkish National Team to upcoming Euro 2008 Finals.
Nihat Kahveci goal on 44th minute was just enough to get the score needed for the qualification. 22.000 spectators in the tribunes of Ali Sami Yen and whole nation erupted with joy after referee Eric Braamhaar signalled the end of the match.
Federation President Haluk Ulusoy was in tears as some of the players and Fatih Terim was happy with the deserved qualification spot. Terim mentioned he will be continuing his duty and a resignation is not a subject of discussion at the moment.
In the other matches of the group Norway beat Malta 4-1 in Ta Qali and Greece beat Hungary 1-0 in Budapest.
Turkey now awaits for the group draws on 2 December as the group finalised with these standings:
