The official signing ceremony of Vincenzo Montella, the new manager of our National Team, was held today at Riva Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities.

Turkish Football Federation President Mehmet Büyükekşi, TFF Board Member Responsible for National Teams Hamit Altıntop, new manager of our National Team Vincenzo Montella and the rest of TFF Board Members attended the signing ceremony held at Orhan Saka Conference Hall.

TFF President Büyükekşi: "I welcome Montella to our family and wish him success in this very important role"

During his speech at the ceremony, TFF President Mehmet Büyükekşi stated that they parted ways with Mr. Stefan Kuntz, the former manager of our National Team, by mutual agreement in goodwill and professionalism last week, and said: "I would like to thank Mr. Stefan Kuntz for his contributions to our National Team, and wish him success in his future life. Last week, we announced that we have reached an agreement with our new manager, Mr. Montella. I welcome him to our family. I wish him success in this very important role. Mr. Montella is a young, disciplined manager with a bright future, whose football career is full of success. As you know, he served successfully as the manager of Adana Demirspor in our country. He gained love and respect for himself with both his success as a coach and his attitude off the field. When he left here, he made nice and complimentary statements about Türkiye. He shared with the public how happy he was during his time working in Türkiye. Now we expect him to show the same stability for our National Team."

Hamit Altıntop: "We believe that we can achieve our goal of participating in EURO 2024 with our new manager"

Hamit Altıntop, TFF Board Member Responsible for National Teams, said: "As a result of the evaluations we made as board members under the leadership of President Mehmet Büyükekşi, we agreed on Vincenzo Montella. I wish this agreement to be beneficial. Our goal is to participate in 2024 European Football Championship to be held in Germany and to come together with our Turkish citizens there. It was disappointing that I could not participate as a football player in 2006 World Cup held in Germany. I hope we can partially compensate this disappointment by participating in EURO 2024. We believe that we can achieve this with our new manager."

Vincenzo Montella: "I am very happy for the opportunity to do good things for this country and federation"

Vincenzo Montella, the new manager of our National Team, started his speech by thanking the press members for coming to the signing ceremony and said: "I'm sorry I can't speak Turkish. But when I reach that level, I would like to speak Turkish. I am very happy to work in this country. I am very happy for the opportunity to do good things for this country and federation. First of all, we want to bring joy and happiness to all the fans. Of course we want to bring this happiness to our citizens living in Germany in the tournament to be held in Germany. We have a good team that I know well. This is an important thing for us. I want to bring happiness to all of Türkiye with the football of our National Team on the field. I am aware that it is a very important role, an important responsibility, but I am here to do this job."
