Turkey will play a friendly match against Slovakia on 29 February 2012 in Bursa. This game will also be the first test of the "A" National Team under the reign of head coach Abdullah Avcı. Kick-off time and live broadcaster of the match which is going to be played at Bursa Atatük Stadium, will be specified in the upcoming days.

Turkey had defeated Armenia 2-0 on 14 October 2009 in a 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifier in the most recent senior level match played in Bursa.

Having faced Slovakia five times, Turkey maintain their unbeaten record with four wins and one draw. Most recently, both sides had a friendly encounter on 20 May 2008 in Germany which ended 1-0 for Turkey's favour.
