Talking at a press conference following Bosnia-Herzegovina match, Turkey coach Fatih Terim praised the young Turkey squad who went against their opponents with an absence of 14 injured players. "Our age average was 23-24 in today's squad. 17-year-old Batuhan left the pitch, while 21-year-old Nuri replaced him. We had 17 shots on goal until 75th minute. Until that moment, Bosnia had only 4 clear chances to score. When we dictated tempo to keep the score, they were able to come to our goal. We had 65 per cent of the ball possession. We tried to play positively and in a attacking-minded way" Terim said.

"We tried to fully utilize our home advantage and used it well. We ran more than our opponents and we tried hard to be successful. I congratulate my players for this important win because it was crucial to get the victory with so many abseentes" he concluded.

Elsewhere, Bosnia-Herzegovina coach Miroslav Blazevic, said: "Turkey got a deserved win tonight. Our defence were not influential at long ball situations and Turkey used their international experience to take advantage of it. In the end, they got the result they wanted"
