U18 National Team, coached by Mehmet Hacıoğlu, beat Ukraine 1-0 in their first match of Valentin Granatkin Cup Group D which is held in Russia.
The match was played in Petersburgsky SCC and Turkey grabbed the win by Batuhan Altıntaş's strike on 82nd minute.
In the day's other match of the group, St. Petersburg defeated Latvia 4-0
Turkey will face Latvia on 6 January 2013 Monday in their second match of the group.
