U17 Women's National Team, coached by Taygun Erdem, defeated Azerbaijan 3-1 in their first match of UEFA U17 Development Cup which is held in Tbilisi, Georgia. The match was played in Mikheil Meskhi Stadium and Turkey's goals came from Semanur Akbaş (Min. 33), Ayşe Önal (Min. 38) andEbru Topçu (Min. 42).

In the day's other match of the cup, Georgia, the hosts, beat Kazakhstan 2-0.

With these results, Turkey and Georgia will meet in the final game of the cup. The match was played on 21 April 2012 Saturday at 15.00 with Turkish local time.
