UEFA Regional Meeting of National Football Associations Held in Sarajevo

UEFA Regional Meeting of National Football Associations was held in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the participation of senior executives from UEFA and 12 member associations.

The meeting held in the capital Sarajevo was attended by TFF General Secretary Abdullah Ayaz, TFF Foreign Affairs and National Teams Executive Director Buğra İmamoğulları, as well as UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin, Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Association President Vico Zeljković, UEFA National Associations Director Zoran Laković, representatives and general secretaries of other member federations in Southeast Europe region, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Kosovo and Cyprus, and UEFA delegates.

The host of the meeting, Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Association President Vico Zeljković, emphasised the importance of cooperation in the development of football in the region. He highlighted how joint efforts, good communication, and knowledge sharing can contribute to improving competitions and sports infrastructure in these countries. Zeljković also thanked UEFA for its continuous support, particularly through the HatTrick program, which boosts investments in football projects across Europe. He expressed hope that by working together, the associations can further strengthen the status of regional countries within international football institutions.

During the meeting, several key topics, including the HatTrick program, youth football development models, coaching education, an analysis of the current European club season, and protecting football competition integrity, were discussed. UEFA administration provided a detailed overview of current football-related issues in these areas.
