Geçmişten ders alarak geleceğe
bakıyor ve yeni bir ekip kuruyoruz.
Takdir edersiniz ki bu hiç de kolay bir iş
değil. İrlanda Cumhuriyeti maçıyla
birlikte Mart ve Mayıs-Haziran
periyodunda çok fazla hazırlık
karşılaşması oynayacağız. Bu süreçte
form ve sağlık durumları elverdiği
sürece Millî Takım’a katkı sağlayacak
bütün tecrübeli oyunculara da kapımız
açık.
Türkiye'de futbola gönül vermiş, futbol
adına çalışan herkese sesleniyorum:
Amacımız günü kurtarmak değil,
geleceği inşa etmek. Türkiye, UEFA
EURO 2024 ev sahipliği adaylığı için
çok yoğun bir mesai harcıyor.
Elimizdeki stadyumlar Avrupa'da yok.
Futbolun tüm paydaşları, akademilere,
altyapıya ve gençlere daha fazla önem
vermeli. Millî Takım’ın gelecekteki
mutluluğu, tamamen yeni nesiller için
ne yaptığımıza bağlı.
Eminim ki çıktığımız bu yolun sonunda
karakteristik bir oyun yapısı olan,
futbolcuların yeteneklerine uygun,
uluslararası organizasyonlara
katılımda süreklilik gösteren bir Milli
Takım ortaya çıkacaktır.
Setting our sights on the UEFA Nations
League and EURO 2020, together we
are beginning a daunting journey.
Lessons are learnt from our past
experiences and we are building a new
team now. As you can imagine, this is
not an easy task. Starting from the
Republic of Ireland game, we will be
playing a series of friendly matches in
March and May-June periods. Our
philosophy will be integrating new
faces to our side as well as keeping our
doors open for experienced names if
their form and fitness conditions
permit.
Hereby I would like to make a call for
everyone who has a passion for
football and working in the football
field: Our aim is not just to save the
day; what we are doing is to design the
future.
Turkey is putting a lot of efforts for
hosting UEFA EURO 2024 tournament.
Stadiums we have, do not even exist in
Europe. All stakeholders of football,
should focus more on academies,
youth setups and young players. The
success of the Turkish national team is
completely dependent on what you are
doing for future generations.
I am fully convinced that at the end of
our journey, there will be a national
teamwhich regularly participates in
major international tournament with a
classic football style in harmony with
the skills of our players.
