5 Gurur duyacağımız bir Millî Takımımız var We have a team to be proud of Nihat Özdemir Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu Başkanı Turkish Football Federation President Değerli futbolseverler; A Millî Takımımızın, UEFA’nın ikinci kez düzenlenen yeni organizasyonu Uluslar Ligi’ndeki mücadelesi devam ediyor. Bir yıl kadar önce İzlanda maçıyla, daha grup maçları tamamlanmadan EURO 2020 finallerinin biletini aldığımız Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi’nde Sırbistan’ı ağırlayacağız. Önümüzde uzun bir yol bulunuyor. Kasım ayında tamamlanacak Uluslar Ligi’nin ardından yeni yıl ile birlikte, 2020 Dünya Kupası grup elemelerinde mücadelemize başlayacağız. Pandemi tedbirleriyle oynadığımız bu maçlar, hem 2022 Dünya Kupası grup elemelerine hazırlık anlamında hem de ülkemize moral verme açısından büyük değer taşıyor. Tek hedefimiz, 2022 Katar Dünya Kupası’na katılarak 20 yıllık özleme son vermek. Teknik direktörümüz Şenol Güneş önderliğinde, 2002’nin ardından bu coşkuyu yaşayacağımıza gönülden inanıyoruz. Hedefe odaklanan, öz güveni yüksek, asla pes etmeyen, daima gurur duyacağımız bir Millî Takımımız var. Ben ve Yönetim Kurulu arkadaşlarım, bu takıma çok güveniyoruz. İyi bir uyum yakaladık. Elimizdeki kadronun halkımızın da eşsiz destekleriyle 2021 yazında düzenlenecek EURO 2020 finalleri başta olmak üzere birçok turnuvaya damgasını vuracağından da eminiz. Rakibimiz Sırbistan köklü bir futbol geçmişine sahip. Onları ülkemizde ağırlayacak olmaktan dolayı mutluyuz. Bu vesileyle; Sırbistan Futbol Federasyonu yönetimi, teknik heyet ve futbolcularına hoş geldiniz diyorum. Ekranları başında olacak herkese güzel bir futbol gecesi diliyor, kazanan tarafın Türkiye olmasını temenni ediyorum. Dear fans; Our National Team’s journey on UEFA Nations League continues. About a year ago, even before the last game of the group, our National Team have taken the ticket for UEFA EURO 2020 in Ali Sami Yen Sports Complex. Today, we will host Serbia in the same venue. We are playing these matches under strict precautions due to pandemic and these matches have a remarkable importance for our Nation; and have an important role to prepare us to FIFA 2022 World Cup Qualifications. We have a long way ahead of us. After we complete our journey on UEFA Nations League in November, we will begin another journey for FIFAWorld Cup Qatar 2022 as the new year welcomes us. Our one and only goal is to qualify for FIFAWorld Cup Qatar 2022 after 20 years. With Şenol Güneş at the helm, we are confident that we will have the joy and proud of qualifying World Cup, just like 2002. Our National Team is focussed, confident and they never give up. We have a team to be proud of. I and my friends in executive board have full faith in this team. With our Nation’s unique support, we are certain this team will leave their mark to many tournaments, starting with UEFA EURO 2020 this summer. Our opponent tonight; Serbia, is a country that have strong football history. We are pleased to host them in our country. I would like to take this opportunity to say “welcome to our country” to every delegation of Football Association of Serbia, technical staff and players.
