Almanya ile oynanan özel maçta sergilediği mücadeleci ve inatçı futbolla gerek ulusal gerekse uluslararası futbol kamuoyunda takdir kazanan Millî Takımımız, birkaç gün önce de Uluslar Ligi’nde Rusya karşısında özellikle ikinci yarıda oynadığı futbolla galibiyeti kaçıran taraf oldu. Buna üzüldük ancak futbolcularımızın yüzde yüz performansla oynamaya gayret etmelerine de sevindik. Pandemi nedeniyle sıkışan fikstürde bir hafta içerisinde üç üst düzey millî maça çıkmak kolay bir iş değil. Format gereği grubunu lider bitiren takımın bir üst lige terfi ettiği turnuvada, matematiksel olarak devam eden şansımızı sonuna kadar kovalayacağız. Bundan sonra Sırbistan maçıyla başlamak üzere kalan Rusya ve Macaristan müsabakalarını bir final havasında oynayacağız. Sırbistan, EURO 2020 play-off yarı final maçında Norveç’i dış sahada 2-1 mağlup ederek ne denli tehlikeli bir takım olduğunu gösterdi. Sırbistan’ın Uluslar Ligi’nde grupta son sırada olmasına bakmadan başından sonuna kadar tam konsantrasyonla oynamamız gereken bir maç bizi bekliyor. Deplasmandaki maçta şanssız bir beraberlik aldığımız rakibimizi bu kez yenerek gruptaki ilk galibiyet sevincini yaşamak tek arzumuzdur. Having received praise both from national and international media with their combative and stubborn football against the friendly game against Germany, our national team were denied a win against Russia in UEFA Nations League a few days ago despite a fantastic second half display. As much as we are upset with this, we are very pleased to see our players trying to give their one hundred per cent on the pitch. It is obviously not an easy task to play three high-level international matches within a week under the shadow of pandemic. In accordance with the UEFA Nations League format, the top team in the group gain promotion to a higher league and we will chase this achievement until our luck runs out. From now on, our remaining matches, starting with Serbia and followed by Russia and Hungary games will be like a final. Serbia showed how dangerous they are by beating Norway 2-1 away in EURO 2020 play-off semi-finals. Without looking to the position of Serbia in UEFA Nations League standings, a game that requires utmost attention from the beginning until the end awaits us. We had recorded an unlucky draw in our away fixture against them and now our only wish is to beat them this time and enjoy our first triumph in the group.
