Turkey Under-21 national team have lost 1-0 to Ukraine in the final match of Valeri Lobanovskiy Tournament and finish the competition as runners-up. Mikola Morozyuk scored the winner of hosts from penalty 13 minutes into the game.
Despite missing the chance to win the tournament, Turkey were honoured by the awards won by their players. Defender Abdullah Karmil was chosen as "The Best Defender of the tournament" while Burak Çalık collected the trophy "Best Forward of the Tournament"
